We were proud to support Hīkoi mō te reo Māori ki Ōtautahi for Te Wiki o te Reo Maōri and what a positive and uplifting kaupapa to be part of.

The hīkoi was hosted by Kōrero ki Ōtautahi – a rōpū run by fierce advocate for the promotion of te reo Māori Tarryn Ryan – and provided a much-needed space to celebrate te reo Māori mo ‘Ake Ake Ake’.

Tarryn would like to thank Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori, ngā tamariki me ngā mokopuna, Te Kapa o te Pito o te Waipuna o Waipapa, Trees for Canterbury, Ceciel DelaRue, Ross Paniora, Life in Vacant Spaces, Bailey Peterson, Tyla Harrison-Hunt and the many other ringa raupā who helped make the kaupapa such a success.

If you are in Waitaha and want to be a part of the Kōrero ki Ōtautahi community, join up here.
