About Tai Neke, Tai Ora

Tai Neke, Tai Ora is underpinned by Tā Mason Durie’s, Te Whare Tapa Wha model and was previously delivered as Navigator Tinana, a workforce of tinana champions that supported whānau across Te Waipounamu to stay active. Tai Neke, Tai Ora later developed into an investment fund for whānau who want to address the health inequities faced by whānau Māori and advocate for te reo Māori me ōna tikanga.

Tai Neke, Tai Ora supports kaupapa that help whānau to understand the importance of nurturing all aspects of their hauora, as well as building a connection to te ao Māori and to their hapori. Tai Neke, Tai Ora supports the revitalisation and promotion of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga and activities that seek to lift the wairua of whānau Māori through traditional healing practices.

We will be in towns and cities all over Te Waipounamu from January 14 to 31, 2025, to help whānau strengthen their applications for Tūātea, Tai Neke, Tai Ora or Kōanga Kai.

As well as helping whānau identify what fund they best align to, the roadshow will cover all the questions in the application and how whānau can best provide all the information needed for a strong application.

Come along if you would like support or to simply connect with others in your region.

For dates and locations and to register, see here.

Tai Neke, Tai Ora promotes a range of different approaches that help whānau to lead healthy lifestyles, and embed understanding of the importance of hauora.
